Wagle Estate (Wagle Industrial Estate, pin code 400604) is an MIDC industrial estate in Thane West, developed from the 1960s and a short drive from Thane station. Its old factory plots are being redeveloped into offices, IT parks and, increasingly, residential towers.

Wagle Estate was one of Maharashtra’s earliest MIDC industrial estates. Today most new MahaRERA registrations under pin code 400604 are commercial: business parks, IT parks and office towers. That makes it one of Thane’s main office districts.

Residential supply here comes in two forms. The first is new towers on former industrial land. The second is redevelopment of housing societies in the surrounding neighbourhoods, such as Shree Nagar, Kisan Nagar, Lokmanya Nagar and Raila Devi. Buyers here usually want to be close to work in the estate and to Thane station, while staying west of the Eastern Express Highway.
